About Furaha Missions

Born from compassion. United by a calling.

From the United States to Uganda

One mission. A future for every child.

Furaha Missions is a US-based NGO in Ashland, Massachusetts, that supports and runs Furaha Ministries in Uganda. We connect people who want to make a difference with the work of rescuing, educating, discipling, and developing the talents of vulnerable children.

Our Christian faith shapes how we serve. Through education, mentorship, family support, and local fellowship, we help children grow into self-sustaining leaders who care for their communities.

Annette Nalubega, founder of Furaha Ministries

The story of Furaha Ministries

Annette saw a boy selling vegetables. That moment changed everything.

Furaha Ministries founder Annette Nalubega encountered a child of about five or six on the streets of Kampala. He lived with his elderly grandmother and worked instead of learning. She saw lost potential — and thousands of children like him.

She chose to confront both the immediate crisis and the obstacles that keep children from a future. From that moment grew Furaha Ministries. Today, Furaha Missions supports and runs this work, inviting a wider community to share in the calling.
